Anker has unveiled Thus, a custom AI chip designed to run neural network computations directly on device hardware rather than shuttling data between storage and processing units. The chip is smaller and more power-efficient than existing AI processors, making it suitable for audio devices, mobile accessories, and IoT products. Anker CEO Steven Yang highlighted that the architecture addresses a fundamental inefficiency in current AI chips, where model parameters must be transferred repeatedly during inference.
