NVIDIA and Ineffable Intelligence, a London-based AI lab founded by AlphaGo architect David Silver, are collaborating to build infrastructure for large-scale reinforcement learning. Unlike pretraining systems that work with fixed datasets, reinforcement learning agents generate data on the fly through continuous act-observe-score-update loops, creating distinct hardware and software demands.
